Mr. Puri is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of work experience in Southern and East Africa. He moved to Africa in 1986 and have since lived and worked in the SADC region.

Mr. Puri is currently the CFO for EcoEnergy Africa which develops large scale sustainable sugar and renewable energy (ethanol and power) projects in East Africa. Before joining Eco Energy, he worked as Manager – Commercial & Finance, for Noremco AB, a subsidiary of Veidekke ASA, in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and as Resident Country Manager, A/S Noremco Construction in Lusaka, Zambia. He has also worked as a senior auditor for KPMG, conducting Statutory and Internal Audits of various leading banking, manufacturing, trading and commercial organizations.

Mr. Puri has extensive experience in all aspects of accounting, financial and treasury management which he has developed while working at international and local firms in the SADC region. His experience ranges from project and business development, project finance and investment strategies to taking projects to financial closure including finalization of bankable project feasibility and project financial models. He has deep operational knowledge from managing businesses in the SADC region including Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and South Africa.

Mr. Puri holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree from Delhi University and is a qualified Chartered accountant. He is an Indian National residing in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
